Living as Though People Matter is a feature length documentary that follows the ongoing story of Father Charlie Burroughs, an Irish-born Catholic priest who has given the last 40 years of his life to the Cilicap region of Indonesia.  An entrepreneur, a nonconformist and a bit of a rogue, Father Charlie defies the expectations that come along with the term, “missionary.”  But, the effects of his work speak for themselves.  He’s built infrastructure through the jungle and united Christians and Muslims in a common effort to better the future.  Along the way he’s generally ticked off the extreme factions of both camps.  But he’s not about to let little things like the threat of death or excommunication get in the way of bringing real change to his adopted home.
